Bernard Isaacson, PhD

Hiya, I'm Bernard Isaacson!

Raised in urban central New Jersey, Bernard has more than two decades of experience working in natural resources across environments, geographies, and organizations. From backcountry trailwork, to complex geospatial analysis, to strategic policy development, his experience covers diverse settings with a variety of perspectives. He makes use of geospatial tools across scales to provide data-driven decision-support.

Bernard earned a Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University in Ecology and Natural Resources, a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in Forestry, and a Doctor of Philosophy from Rutgers University in Ecology. His work places strong emphasis on strategic planning, recognition of trade-offs, identification of appropriate scales, and the facilitation of enduring, trust-based relationships through stakeholder engagement.
